Nomeco to build giant warehouse in Køge

Nomeco has begun the construction of a completely new warehouse for its industry directed division, Nomeco HealthCare Logistics, thereby bringing their three warehouses together in one place. The warehouse will be located in Køge and be the largest pharmaceutical warehouse in Northern Europe.

Pharamceuticals for the entire Nordic region

The new Warehouse will be completed in summer 2018 and will supply pharmaceuticals to wholesalers etc. in the whole Nordic region. There is an increasing desire on the part of the industry to consolidate its warehouses for the Nordic market. As pharmaceuticals typically come from the south by truck and are then sent further north, Skandinavisk Transport Center is an ideal location for the large warehouse.

Huge investment

This is the PHOENIX group’s largest logistical investment to date, and the cost will be about 500M DKR.

The most striking feature of the building will be the 30-meter tall fully automatic high bay, and in addition a large terminal building with for example refrigeration and reception of goods.

Super modern warehouse

The warehouse is based on the newest technology and is future-proofed – it can for example deal with the forthcoming EU regulations concerning individual labelling of all pharmaceutical packaging. With this new warehouse, the pharmaceutical industry ensures the highest quality, full documentation, transparency in the supply chain and the best possible security.

Planning permission has been secured and the first sod was turned November 2016.
