Nomeco has implemented an organisational change with effect from 1 October 2011. The company is now better equipped to meet the market’s needs and requirements.
The biggest news is the establishment of a new division that focuses on retail, i.e. the purchase and sale of branded goods and liberalised over-the-counter medicines. The division is called Nomeco Retail and the purchasing function, the sales promoting activities and development consultants are all gathered here.
“The new division will support pharmacies and suppliers in increasing the sale of these product groups. This is taking place in recognition of the fact that, to an increasing degree, branded goods are important to the pharmacies’ earnings and that there is significant potential here. Nomeco wants to support this and contribute with new ideas and innovation,” says CEO Jan Bonde.
He adds that by having all the competencies in the same division, synergy and strong focus on the branded goods area is ensured, to the benefit of the chains and pharmacies. Kasper Lund-Jacobsen, who until now has been the Market Development Manager, has been appointed director for the new division.
Thus, Nomeco now has three divisions that focus on customers. In addition to Nomeco Retail, the PharmacyDivision will continue as before with Peter Lørup as director and Nomeco HealthCare Logistics, with Henrik Kaastrup as director, will attend to a large number of services for the medicines industry. The three divisions will work closely together to ensure an optimal flow all the way through the supply chain from manufacturer to pharmacy.
